The Lakers are currently in the midst of their worst stretch in franchise history. According to our very own Lakers rumors, how can the Lakers turn into immediate contenders?

Lakers fans certainly are not use to this lack of success, that is for sure. For a team that is rich in history, superstars, and championships it seems very wrong to not be a member of playoff discussions. Not only are the Lakers not a member of playoff discussions, this will be their third straight season in which they fail to eclipse 27 wins.

This woefulness has brought the franchise some promising young players that lead the forefront in turning the franchise around. D’Angelo Russell, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, and Ivica Zubac are all young guys that look to turn the franchise around. The problem is, however, that the Lakers likely want to win as soon as possible alongside allowing their young guys to develop.

Obviously, it would be a near impossible task to turn the Lakers from a multiple time lottery team into world champions in just one offseason, but Rob Pelinka and Magic Johnson could turn them at least into contenders. Even if the team makes the playoffs as an eighth seed, this would turn them into title contenders and be a huge step in the right direction.

Of course, all of this is hypothetical and whether or not this happens is solely chance. I am not predicting that these things are going to happen, just simply stating that if everything went perfectly this would be the gameplan.

Therefore, in a perfect world for Lakers fans, according to our very own Lakers rumors what three moves would turn the team into title contenders?
