1. Draft Lonzo Ball

Of course, this would take the Lakers securing a top three selection in the NBA lottery to avoid giving the pick to Philadelphia, but if they did secure that top three pick Lonzo Ball should be atop their list. Chances are if they do land that third overall pick that they will draft Ball, but if there are any questions in the minds of the Lakers front office they should be dispelled immediately.

I have said it a million times before, and I likely will say a million times more, Lonzo Ball seems to be the perfect fit for the Los Angeles Lakers. The young guys on the Lakers are certainly talented in their own right, but they lack that playmaker that can do it all. Ball may not be the best scorer, best passer, or best rebounder in the draft – but he can do it all and is the best playmaker.

This is evident in the numbers that Ball put up facing teams in the very underrated PAC-12. Ball averaged 14.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game. He is a talent that can do it all on the court, and that would involve dishing it out to now shooting guard D’Angelo Russell, scoring off of a pass from Brandon Ingram, or grabbing a board when Ivica Zubac and Julius Randle can’t.

Lakers fans already anticipate the Southern California kid to come to the Lakers and be the catalyst to spark the turn of the franchise. Will it happen? Well, we have to wait and see if the Lakers retain their draft pick. If they do, however, I almost guarantee that Ball will end up wearing purple and gold.
