Rams Rumors: Trade Targets the Rams should Consider
By Jason Reed
After a fairly disappointing year, fans are looking for any promising Rams rumors to latch onto. With optimism in mind, what trade targets should the Rams consider?
The return to Los Angeles for the Rams was not the homecoming many wanted. Struggling their way to a 4-12 record, the Los Angeles Rams had a dud of a return and now have hometown competition in the Los Angeles Chargers. Overall, while the Rams definitely had their struggles, they remain a young team with a great amount of promise.
With a new head coach, who just happens to be the youngest head coach in the history of the NFL, and the first overall pick Jared Goff Rams fans should have some optimism. While Goff may not have played up to expectations, he is still very young and will be a considerable upgrade from Case Keenum.
The fact of the matter is that the Los Angeles Rams remain a very young team with some signs of promise. While they may not be ready to contend anytime in the near future, they have a baseline to grow upon with promising stars. Tavon Austin and Todd Gurley have massively high ceilings, Aaron Donald is the best defensive tackle in the game, and Jared Goff is still very young.
To compliment these positive aspects of the team the Rams are going to not only draft smartly, but bring in talents from other teams. Even if those talents only serve a year or two or service, gaining credibility is hard in the NFL. The second the Rams can do that, the second they can bring in big name free agents.
Therefore, with a long future ahead of them, what three trade targets should the Rams consider according to these Rams rumors?
