Richard Sherman

I have this serious inclination that Richard Sherman will somehow end up in the city of Los Angeles next season. I have discussed how the Rams could land the star corner, however it may be unlikely as the teams involved are division rivals. Well, the other LA team is also in need of cornerbacks and with the Seahawks shopping Sherman it could be a great fit.

The asking price for Richard Sherman may be a tad high, but it also may be something the Chargers are willing to pay. With either Jamal Adams or Malik Hooker being the logical choices in the draft fot the Chargers, if both are taken by pick number seven maybe the team will be more inclined to trade their pick for Sherman.

The two teams could swap their first round picks and the Chargers can include a future third pick and that may be enough for the Seahawks to bite. Instead of wasting a high pick in the first round, the Chargers could effectively flip that for an established corner and still get a late first round pick to select a receiver or offensive lineman.

I know, almost all fans outside of Seattle hate Sherman because of his big mouth and hostility. However, since the Chargers do not have a direct rivarly with Seattle he should be more welcomed in the Carson Center in 2017. If the Chargers make this deal happen, while some fans would be upset, it would be for the team’s best interest.
