Fans of the Rams turn to rumors in order to add some faith after several disappointing years. According to these Rams rumors, which three free agent wide receivers should the team pursue?

The Los Angeles Rams did not have a good homecoming to Los Angeles in 2016. After years of longing for their hometown team, the fans of Los Angeles were granted their wish only to see the Rams post their worst record since 2011. After a 7-9 year that was seemingly full of promise, the franchise took another step backwards, extending the streak to 13 consecutive years without a winning record. That is what makes these Rams rumors so promising.

The promising things for the Rams and their fans is that the team has a very young core, and with guys like Aaron Donald and Todd Gurley the team has the potential to break the proverbial glass ceiling. All it takes is that glue, that adhesive that can hold the organization together. The first step of that was the hiring of head coach Sean McVay. The finishing touches now need to focus on the talent on the field.

The Rams do have some bright spots and genuinely have fantastic players. Aaron Donald is arguably the best defensive tackle in the league, Gurley one of the most promising young running backs, and if Jared Goff can play up to expectations he will be fantastic. Those players are not enough though, a great NFL team takes 53 guys, and the Rams have too many holes.

One of the considerable holes in the Rams system is the wide receiver position. Tavon Austin has not played to expectations and outside of new signing Robert Woods, the Rams don’t have much.

Luckily for them though, the free agent pool contains some viable options to catch the tail end of Jared Goff’s passes. The question remains, which of these receivers should the Rams pursue?
