Stevie Johnson

To be fair, Stevie Johnson was never actually a member of the Los Angeles Chargers, just the San Diego Chargers. Regardless, Johnson may see himself moving to LA in the near future if the Rams do pursue him, as they should, as it is another great. Like with Victor Cruz, Johnson provides veteran leadership without being too old, also being 30.

The biggest question mark surrounding Johnson is easily his injury past, he missed all of last season with a knee injury that he suffered in preseason, leaving question marks around his NFL career. However, this would allow the Rams to sign Johnson so a minimal contract, proving that the risk far outweighs the reward in this situation.

While he may never be the player that he was with the Bills, Johnson did have three consecutive seasons with 1000 receiving yards from 2010-2012. He has shown the capability to be a star in the biggest stage, and bringing in a guy of that caliber would be huge for the Rams. Like I said, the injury worries are there, but as long as it is a cheap contract there should be no concerns.

Even if Johnson just put up 500 yards and five touchdowns, something that is very doable considerable his previous numbers, and it would be a win for the Rams. The Rams need all of the help they can get in their receiving core, and Johnson could be a stellar steal.
