Lakers Rumors: Possible Trade Packages for Ivica Zubac
By Jason Reed
Continuing our possible trade packages series, we take a look at the Lakers rumors swirling around young Lakers center Ivica Zubac.
We have looked at just about every player on the Los Angeles Lakers and discussed what the team could get in return. Some of the deals were amazing, some unlikely, and some just downright dumb. Today, we take a look at the possible trade packages that Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka could land for young center Ivica Zubac.
Zubac was the Lakers second round pick in the 2016 NBA Draft and has been a bright spot in an otherwise dull season. In his rookie year, a year that he is very green mind you, Zubac averaged 7.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in 16.0 minutes per game. As Zubac progresses and gets close to 30 minutes per game, we could easily see Zubac be a 15 point, 10 rebound a game player.
Of course, that will take time, and the Lakers could still upgrade at the center position. It is hard with the massive contracts of Luol Deng and Timofey Mozgov, but the Lakers should not be hesitant in upgrading at center if the opportunity arises. As he has proven this year, Zubac could be fantastic off the bench.
Now, before we get this started, I would like to point out that I do not think the Lakers would be wise in sending Zubac off just yet. If they get a fantastic return then yes, do it. But, it would be wise to hold off on dealing him just to see how he progresses.
Regardless, according to the trade finder within NBA 2K17, here are three potential trade packages the Lakers could receive for Ivica Zubac.
