Weeks 1-4

  • Week 1: Indianapolis Colts

  • Week 2: Washington Redskins

  • Week 3: at San Francisco 49ers

  • Week 4: at Dallas Cowboys

The Rams start their year off with a pretty middle of the road set of games. The Rams are facing one very bad team, one very good team, and two average teams. While the Rams may be deficient in talent compared to three of these four teams, they could put up a decent fight.

The Colts are going to hope to get off on the right foot, bringing in a win with Andrew Luck leading the way. The Colts typically beat up on teams worse than them, and get beat up by teams better than them; there is no real fluctuation. I think this will lead to a triumph game one for the Colts, defeating the Rams narrowly 24-18.

The Rams then host back-to-back home games, squaring off against the Washington Redskins. The Redskins are very similar to the Colts in many ways with a similarly bad run defense. However, Kirk Cousins is no Andrew Luck, and Todd Gurley will come back in week two with a vengeance. I would anticipate a huge game on the ground and a 31-27 Rams win.

Although the 49ers two wins last season were against the Rams, I think the Rams will learn from their mistakes and waltz over this San Francisco team. The organization is in shambles and depending on who they pick in the draft, they may not have a quarterback. Rams win 17-7.

Then the Rams visit the house that Jerry Jones built to face off against Dak Prescott and the Cowboys. I think the Rams will initially put up a fight, but that offensive line is too much for Aaron Donald and company. The Cowboys will likely come away with a 35-13 win.

Season Record: 2-2
