Blake Griffin injury will keep him out of the 2017 playoffs

The Blake Griffin injury has taken a turn for the worse.
Blake Griffin missed last postseason after injuring himself against Portland. The same thing happened this time around against Utah after hurting his toe in Game 3.
Visibly frustrated after the injury took place, it appeared Griffin knew right away it wouldn’t end well. A major difference from last season is that Chris Paul is still healthy.
Paul was able to take full control of the game in the second half, but whether he can do it for the full series hasn’t been seen.
As for Blake Griffin, the Clippers are now at a very real crossroad.
ESPN provided an update on Grifffin’s toe injury.
Per ESPN:
"Griffin suffered an injury to the plantar plate of his right big toe in the first half Friday and did not return to the game. The five-time All-Star forward will visit a foot and ankle specialist when the Clippers return to Los Angeles."
The article goes on to show how Chris Paul opened up about what it’ll be like for the team moving forward without him.
"“One of the biggest adjustments is, we probably won’t be able to play through the post so much,” Paul said. “He’s such a dynamic player. We go to him in the post, and we cut and move off him. … He’s our other assist guy."
Dealing with the Blake Griffin injury is just another opportunity to show whether or not they should keep Doc Rivers. After serving as the head coach for Los Angeles for quite some time, he’s still failed to bring a title to the Clippers.

Game 4 will be on Sunday in Utah, but the feel will be very different without Griffin on the floor. The last thing the Clippers should want is to go back home tied at two games apiece.
