Closing Thoughts

While where Griffin decides to play is huge, it’s again important to remember there’s other changes looming. One of those outside of him is whether or not they’ll stick with head coach Doc Rivers.

After multiple playoff collapses, there comes a point where the team and coach will either meet in a middle ground or go their separate ways.

From the looks of it, Doc Rivers and Los Angeles could find themselves in the latter.

Keeping Rivers is the final thing to watch for in terms of factors affecting Griffin’s decision. Ultimately, he’ll decide what’s best for him at this point in his career.

Whether or not that’s in Los Angeles, the team will have to wait to find out. Right now it’s not their prime concern, though — that would be beating the Jazz and advancing.
