The Seattle Mariners are not getting the kind of production out of Danny Valencia that they hoped for, which may prompt them to attempt to move the corner infielder. While he may be struggling now, the impact he would have with the Los Angeles Dodgers would be huge and alongside Bellinger, would likely produce more than Adrian Gonzalez has alone.

Danny Valencia has been off to a poor start in 2017, which may shy some of you Dodger fans away from acquiring him. Valencia has struggled his way to a .145 batting average with no home runs after slugging 17 last season. It is bad, I know, but bear with me on the importance Valencia has to the club.

Last season Valencia killed left-handed pitching, which is something the Dodgers so desperately need in their lineup. The right-handed batter hit his way to a .318 average against left-handers, slugging seven home runs and 19 runs batted in through only 129 at-bats.

Put him in the Dodgers lineup that constantly sees left-handed pitching and Valencia would thrive. With Dave Roberts only putting him in areas to succeed, Valencia would serve as a nice two-headed dragon alongside Cody Bellinger.

Throw in right-handed pitcher Andrew Moore and the Dodgers would be getting a good return on their investment. Moore is the Mariners second best pitching prospect and could be ready as soon as 2017 to face big league batters.
