Orlando Magic

This is one of the least likely spots on the list so let’s get it out of the way. The only reason that Chris Paul would consider the Magic, especially when they’re not in contention for anything, is to get out of LA.

Losing what the Clippers could lose might mean he really looks at other offers. It’s not always money that gets the stars, but it does help.

As for need, the Magic will have to consider trying to bring current point guard Elfrid Payton back. Payton has one more year on his contract before becoming a restricted free agent.

If he ends up making it through the entirety of his deal, it’d be surprising. He serves as a great trade asset for the Magic and could come in handy in the future.

Altogether, the Chris Paul-to-Orlando scenario is in the less than one percent likely range. But it could happen.
