New Orleans Pelicans

Since the last time Chris Paul played with them, their team name has changed. After becoming the Pelicans, the team continued to experience a lack of playoff success that was common place with Paul.

However, now that they have a guy like Anthony Davis, pairing him up with Chris Paul could be a nightmare for other teams.

Not to mention that a trade deadline move for DeMarcus Cousins gives the Pelicans room for consideration. Paul wouldn’t be joining a bunch of nobodies — there’s talent there.

One thing the Pelicans need to unleash that talent the right way is a point guard that understands them. Chris Paul is a special talent himself, but more importantly he knows how to handle other big personalities on the floor and share the spotlight.

New Orleans also makes the list because Paul may decide he wants to go back to where it all began. It’s hard to say no to a homecoming that could pay off with what his ultimate goal is.

While it’s easy to get lost in the star power of Los Angeles, going back to New Orleans just feels right.
