The Los Angeles Lakers have been tied to several superstars. However, according to these Lakers rumors, which cheap free agent options should the team explore?

Paul George, Blake Griffin, Gordon Hayward, Lonzo Ball. All of these guys are regarded as the next Lakers, the next guys to don the purple and gold and turn the franchise around. The Lakers are in the midst of perhaps the worst era in franchise history, and fans are desperate for a spark.

Everyone wants to bring in that superstar, the guy alone that could serve as a leader and kick-start this young unit into success. Sports fans are very impatient, they want what’s best, and they want it now. It does not matter what it takes, how much it costs, or if it’s even possible. Sports fans cannot cope with the rebuilding moniker, and that is exactly what the Lakers are doing.

Lonzo Ball would be a great natural way to bring in a superstar. The result of their own rebuild, Lonzo could be the next star for the Lakers. Yet, the team first needs to get lucky in the draft lottery, and even then Ball is not a surefire option.

We have heard the Blake Griffin may be interested in switching Los Angeles teams, that Paul George has made it apparent he wants to be a Laker. So much promise, yet, all this promise may lead to disappointment.

Therefore, let’s slow down a bit and look at the more realistic side of things. The team may not have the cap space to bring in said superstar. So, what three cheap free agent options should the Lakers explore this offseason?
