No chance of being dealt:

  • Andrew Toles, Franklin Gutierrez, and Cody Bellinger

Now, don’t get me wrong, despite there being a very strong possibility that we will see an outfielder dealt, there are untouchables. Two of these untouchables may surprise you, with Bellinger being obvious, but they are included for distinct reasons. Because of what they bring to the Dodgers, the team will make sure they do anything they can to keep them.

First, let’s go over the obvious: Cody Bellinger. Despite thriving during his short stint in the majors thus far, the common consensus is that Bellinger will be sent back down on Friday upon Joc Pederson’s arrival from injury. While he may get sent down now, Bellinger is undoubtedly the first baseman of the Dodgers future and unless they are receiving someone like Mike Trout, this won’t happen.

Then we have Andre Toles, who is perhaps the biggest surprise of the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. Starting off at Advanced-A Rancho Cucamonga last year, Toles made it all the way to the MLB and thrived at the end of the year. This year, Toles is doing decently as his average is a tad low but he has slugged five home runs.

While he is left-handed, Toles is not terrible against left-handed pitching and the Dodgers cannot rid their line up of every left-handed bat. Especially because Toles brings much-needed speed to the Dodgers, he is staying.

Then, there is absolutely no chance that the Dodgers will deal Gutierrez. The team specifically brought him in last offseason to solve their left-handed pitching problem, they would only be shooting themselves in the foot.
