Lonzo Ball shoe release will cost you nearly $500

The Lonzo Ball shoe release on Thursday wasn’t bad in design, but high in price.

For starters, the Lonzo Ball shoe release could’ve been a lot worse.

Would you really pay $500 for a pair of shoes put out by a guy not even drafted yet?

Sounds harsh, but it’s a world that the Ball family has put us in. After being turned down by other large brands like Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour, Lonzo Ball is on his own.

With that in mind, it did not take too much longer for his first signature shoe to be released.

According to a report on SLAM, this has big implications moving forward for the potential lottery pick.

Per the report:

"Love it or hate it, this is a historic move that will send shockwaves throughout the basketball community and will leave many wondering if this could become a trend among athletes in the future."

This is not the first time that Big Baller Brand has been bold. Aside from LaVar Ball’s often obscure claims, the kid can play.

Having his own shoe is a first, but Lonzo might be the only player that can handle this type of situation.

He’s taken the heat from his father well. Whether that relationship will change after he’s drafted and starts performing is only something we’ll see with time.

While it is a big bill to pay, Ball’s shoes look much cleaner that some of Stephen Curry’s latest releases through Under Armour.
