The latest Lakers free agency rumors look at fifteen names they could target.

Getting the right players is at the core of the Lakers free agency rumors this off-season. Los Angeles had another transition year with it’s young core, failing to make the playoffs.

With Magic Johnson now in charge and Rob Pelinka the newly named general manager, the Lakers need a shake up. In order for Los Angeles to have a successful rebuild, a missing piece that they may need moving forward is a tested veteran.

This is important because the young players will eventually need someone to depend on. They’ll hopefully be able to develop their own talents to their full potential, but guidance never hurt anybody.

Failed attempts to make that happen through deals for Timofey Mozgov and Luol Deng are perfect examples of what to avoid. Lou Williams provided exactly what they needed, but he was traded to Houston before the deadline.

Not to worry, however, as Los Angeles will have more than enough names to pick from.

Here’s a break down of fifteen free agents and how they’d fit in with the Lakers.
