Tyler Ennis

Another promising point guard is Tyler Ennis. Acquired by the Lakers from Houston in a deal for Marcelo Huertas, he filled a big role in Los Angeles almost right away.

Should the Lakers decide to draft Lonzo Ball, it’s hard to say that Ennis would have a shot at the starting gig. This also comes with the thought that D’Angelo Russell could very well avoid point guard altogether in a position switch to the two guard.

All of that being said, Ennis is definitely a younger option on the table. When it comes to point guards, experience definitely does matter, but so does confidence. Ennis has a lot of things to like about his game and could fit well with the team in the long term.

The Lakers just have to be willing to give him another shot with the understanding that their biggest catch in free agency might not come from this pool of players.
