Lakers free agency rumors: 15 free agents that will be available

Shelvin Mack
Shelvin Mack is somebody that needs the right environment as well. Currently with the Utah Jazz, Mack has played for four teams in five seasons. After being drafted by the Wizards, he’s played for Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Utah in addition to time in Washington.
Being used to moving around, Los Angeles could easily feel like the right fit for a guy like Mack. After seeing how non-starters have impacted the Lakers since the start of last season, he could be their go-to guy behind starters from the young core.
The former Butler Bulldog has had a season average of 7.8 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.3 rebounds for the Jazz. This comes after a career year for him in the 2015-16 campaign where he averaged over twelve points per game.
He’s not an alpha, obviously, but the Lakers can’t ignore depth at point guard before trying to fill other needs.
