The Los Angeles Chargers won the 2017 NFL Draft, plain and simple. Now, who are new free agent targets for the team according to these Chargers rumors?

For a franchise that continually makes head scratching decisions, the 2017 NFL Draft was a breath of fresh air. As a Charger fan, the last few seasons for the Bolts have been a struggle. Every year it feels like the team should be great, they have the talent and they are competing in every game they play. However, with typical Chargers luck, it never pans out.

Maybe it is the curse of San Diego (sorry San Diego faithful) that held the Chargers back. Obviously more factors in to it, but it should be noted than no San Diego sports team has ever won a championship. Now, 125 miles up north, the Chargers look to find new hope in Los Angeles.

This new hope was accelerated by the draft, where the Chargers were arguably the biggest winners of all 32 teams. Los Angeles substantially increased their passing offense, which will cause a ripple effect to a phenomenal running game as well.

With a new receiver for the future, and a solid young offensive line, the Chargers look as good as they have in quite some time to make a playoff run. Coming off of a 5-11 record, this may seem absurd. However, as Phillip Rivers career comes to a close, these draft picks give him one last chance.

Now that the Chargers have addressed the passing game they must address the other holes in their roster. With free agency their last true outlet until next season, here are three new free agent targets for the Chargers after the 2017 NFL Draft.
