Markelle Fultz

A second option at point guard for Los Angeles is former Washington star Markelle Fultz. This would only happen or be in play if the Lakers somehow get the first overall pick in the draft.

They don’t have a high chance to get the first pick, but it could happen.

Picking first would give Los Angeles the full board of prospects to choose from and might give Johnson and Pelinka more confidence in their final decision.

One of the bigger debates from this past season of college basketball was whether or not Lonzo Ball was better head to head than Fultz. Obviously, both one and done prospects think they’re better than the other — but that’s not something we can really tell right now.

However, seeing one of them go to Boston and the other to Los Angeles would help revive the Celtics-Lakers rivalry if they both pan out to be great players at the next level.
