The Lakers season ended just a few weeks ago and the Lakers rumors are already swirling. Here, we discuss possible trades for Los Angeles to receive a great sixth man.

Some of the best players we have come to know and love in the NBA are great, dominant sixth men. J.R. Smith was a dominant sixth man, Andre Iguodala is fantastic, and James Harden was perhaps the best sixth man of all time. This year, the front-runner for the Sixth Man of the Year award seems to be former Laker Lou Williams.

The Lakers had a gem in Williams, deciding to deal him to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Corey Brewer and the team’s first-round draft pick. This move seemingly solidified the Lakers tanking efforts, going all in on a top-three selection in order to maintain their first round draft pick.

Now, the Lakers still have a pretty solid sixth man. Larry Nance Jr best fits the bill, and actually, does quite a decent job at it. Averaging around seven points and six rebounds off the bench is not too shabby for Nance in his second season, but it could be better.

Another thing to note is that Nance played just under 23 minutes a game off the bench for the Los Angeles Lakers last season. Those are sixth man minutes, but quite frankly, the Lakers could use better production in that time.

Nance is certainly holding his ground as the sixth man and would not be a bad option for the Lakers next season. However, if the team wants to make the addition leaps in accelerating this rebuild, they are going to need better next season.

Therefore, according to the trade finder within NBA 2K17, here are three potential trade packages the Lakers make to receive a great sixth man.
