4. Jared Goff will turn the corner

To say “it’s about time” is pretty unfair, I will admit. However, Jared Goff greatly disappointed Rams fans last season with the time he put onto the field, not playing like a first overall selection. This has cause some fans to already dismiss Goff as a bust, calling for a change at quarterback. To those who jump the gun I must say, relax, Goff is still only 22 years old.

I cannot argue the fact that Goff had a pretty bad rookie season, that is pretty apparent. The Rams organization wanted to ease Goff into the NFL scene, however that process was accelerated when Case Keenum started playing like Case Keenum. In seven games started, Goff passed for 1089 yards, throwing only five touchdowns to seven interceptions.

With a 54.6 completion percentage and just around 150 yards averaged per game, Goff left Rams fans wanting more. In 2017 Goff will follow-up on last season’s disappointment, and with more tools in the toolbox will show us why the Rams selected him first overall.

Now, Goff likely won’t take the world by storm and become Dak Prescott, but he will make leaps and bounds and at the very least play good. With Reynolds hauling in the deep bombs, and an array of quick receivers for short passes, we will see Goff slowly develop into the quarterback that the Rams want him to be.
