3. Todd Gurley will bounce back

Todd Gurley may have been the most disappointing performer for the Rams last season, out doing the woes that Jared Goff caused. In his rookie year Todd Gurley was nothing short of phenomenal, and looked to be the far better running back between himself and fellow first round pick Melvin Gordon.

In his rookie season Gurley put up over 1000 rushing yards, 1109 to be exact, averaging 85.1 yards per game and scoring a total of ten times. This led to a Pro Bowl birth for the rookie and understandably so caused a lot of hope for Rams fans. However, as we all know, last season held a completely different narrative for Gurley.

Gurley still put up decent numbers, rushing for 885 yards and scoring six rushing touchdowns. However, this came at the expense of handing him the ball 49 more times, resulting in Gurley’s rushing yards per attempt to be cut by 33%, from 4.8 yards to 3.2.

Now, ironically, with Melvin Gordon also in Los Angeles we should see Todd Gurley thrive. Of course, Gordon being in the same city is not enough motivation to turn Gurley around, but with more options in the passing game and Pro Bowl left tackle Andrew Whitworth now in the mix we could see Gurley back to his rookie year form.

2016 was a disappointing year for Gurley, especially coming off of a very impressive rookie campaign. With the increased focus on the passing game and Jared Goff, we might see Gurley rush for 1000 yards once more.
