Jose Quintana

Jose Quintana’s name has constantly been circled around every trade rumor in Major League Baseball. Playing for a team that just recently cleaned house, with immense value, it is easy to see why Quintana is a hot trade commodity. Alongside his great talent is a very favorable contract, and quite frankly, could easily be something the Dodgers could take on.

Obviously, the White Sox would have a very hefty asking price for the young left-handed pitcher. We all saw what the Red Sox gave up for Chris Sale, and the over priced trade-off for Adam Eaton. Like typical White Sox fashion, they would likely want the best prospects the Dodgers have to offer.

With Cody Bellinger already in the big leagues that could be an option they discuss, but the Dodgers would never give up Bellinger. Instead, the White Sox could ask a more reasonable package of Alex Verdugo, Walker Buehler, and Alex Wood.

While that deal is more reasonable than shipping off Cody Bellinger, it is still not a good deal for the Dodgers. While Quintana would be the perfect fit in this Dodgers rotation, the asking price is going to be far too hefty. Quintana definitely is a trade target for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but considering the White Sox asking price is may be best to stay away.
