Health

The Angels have a healthy roster and good bullpen.

Also, these two go hand in hand. In 2016 their bullpen was injured. Most of them were on the disabled list. It was rough for the Angels.

They did everything they could to make it though the season in one piece. Unfortunately when their leader went down on defense it seems like everything changed.

When it rains, it pours.

Once Shoemaker went down, then more pitchers began to go on the DL.

The Angels ended up signing and trading for players on other teams to pitch.

They even moved some of the pitchers form their minor league affiliates to play in the big leagues. Some of the depleted bullpen held their own until they needed rest.

It was difficult for the Angels win with a little amount of healthy pitchers playing. When everyone is healthy the Angels are a force to be reckoned with.
