By Jason Reed
The 2017 NBA Draft looks to be the most talented draft we have seen in quite some time. Atop this rich talent pool is UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball.
The prospects heading into the NBA from the 2017 NBA Draft look good, I mean, really good. Enriched with a multitude of young talent, this draft class holds many freshman players that likely will serve as the next wave of NBA superstardom. The deepest position in arguably at point guard, one of which being the UCLA star Lonzo Ball.
The Chino Hills native has been infamously tied to the Los Angeles organization before they had even received their own first round pick. Although fans seem to be 50-50 on Ball because of his father, Los Angeles is only eyeing his playmaking ability.
Hey, Ball is already marketing himself quite well. Despite only selling 356 pairs of his ZO2 shoes, the Big Baller Brand brought in over a quarter of a million dollars. Whether or not this is Ball’s family or excited Laker fans, Ball is easily the most marketable player in this draft.
Of course, with the Lakers being in the illustrious city of Los Angeles, this is huge – the franchise always needs a star. This only tightens the connection between Ball and the Lakers.
However, the Lakers are likely not the only organization that can benefit from Ball’s playmaking ability and his marketability. Therefore, let’s dive in and take a look at three teams that can snag Lonzo Ball from the Los Angeles Lakers.
