5. Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have the fifth and tenth overall selection in the 2017 NBA Draft and could be one of the best young teams in basketball in the coming future. With those picks, the Kings have a lot in their arsenal to dispose of for an established young player. Moving either the fifth selection, the Sacramento Kings could do some dealing by the time the draft comes.

Moving Russell to the Kings for the tenth overall selection would be an absolute steal. Obviously, the Lakers should be hard pressed to push for the fifth overall selection, as they can snag a better prospect in that spot, but the tenth spot would still be a decent trade off for the Lakers. Granted, the team would need more picks as well in the future, but it could be done.

Russell would be a great fit on this Kings team, that is without a doubt.  The Kings already have a great young guard in Buddy Hield to run at shooting guard with Russell running the point. This would give the Kings an interesting dynamic, especially if they can keep one of their early picks in the draft.

Overall, this move is highly unlikely as the Lakers would not be getting the return they deserve for Russell. However, he still would be a great fit on this Kings team.
