With an already talented roster, the Chargers seemed to reinvent themselves in the NFL Draft. Now, according to these Chargers rumors, what bold predictions can we make?

Nobody should sleep on the Los Angeles Chargers next season. With veteran quarterback Phillip Rivers at the helm, a reequipped offensive line, and great pass rusher Joey Bosa, this team looks good. Battling their own demons the last two seasons with injuries and fourth quarter melt downs, the Chargers have not found much success. 2017, however, will be different.

The Chargers have only won nine games the past two seasons, I understand that. However, the has had some very unfortunate luck that has taken most of those games away from them. In the past two seasons, the Chargers have lost 18 of their 23 games by one possession. They are not getting blown out, instead, choking in the fourth quarter.

Granted, football will never go entirely the team’s way, but the Chargers have gotten some unfortunate luck. However, let’s say those games were a coin flip – with the ball rolling in the Chargers favor half of the time. That now puts Los Angeles (San Diego in this case) around the nine-win mark both years. Depending on what games they would have won, this could have made them playoff contenders.

Regardless, the past is in the past and we cannot change the woeful two years the Chargers have had. Good things have come out of those struggles, Joey Bosa and Mike Williams, so the struggles weren’t entirely counter-productive. Instead of looking in the past, let’s dive into these Chargers rumors, making three bold predictions for next season.
