5. Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors already have to deal with Kyle Lowry opting out of his contract, likely in pursuit of a heftier payday. Alongside DeMar DeRozan, the Raptors have two of the most talented guards in basketball and have an immensely high ceiling. Chances are the Raptors will resign Lowry to a massive contract, much like Mike Conley, maintaining this talented duo.

However, if the Raptors decide to open up their pocketbooks to bring Lowry back into the fold they are not going to have room to sign their current power forward, Serge Ibaka. Ibaka was traded to the Raptors last season from the Magic and did fairly well in his time up north. However, being an unrestricted free agent, Ibaka will likely pursue as much money as he can get.

This is where Julius Randle comes in, he could fill in the void that Ibaka has left behind and would give the Raptors a young player that can grow into something special. In the Eastern Conference, dominated by the Cavs, the Raptors need to assemble each and every piece they can. Julius Randle, alongside Lowry and DeRozan, would be a great start.

However, this deal will never happen because the Raptors do not have much to intrigue the Lakers. The Lakers would either need future picks or an established star, and the Raptors are in no position to give the Lakers any of that. Although this would be a nice fit for Julius Randle, it would not be a good move for the Los Angeles Lakers.
