Otto Porter Jr.

Otto Porter Jr. saw one heck of a ride with the Wizards this season. Ending up in the second round of the playoffs, Boston was too much for his team in seven games.

Now a restricted free agent, Porter Jr. could be another hit for Los Angeles this summer. In order to build around Brandon Ingram, it’s also important to remember that depth is as important as additional weapons.

That way, when Ingram needs rest or is foul trouble, he can come out of the game without too much damage being done. It’s what being a cornerstone player is all about.

Averaging 13.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game with Washington, Porter Jr. would be a welcome consistency. Los Angeles would need Ingram’s main rotation help to pour in and be efficient in his time on the floor.

If the Lakers give or sign Porter Jr. to an offer sheet, however, Washington will have a chance to match it to keep him with them.
