Closing Thoughts

Whatever decisions the team makes, fans will be at the mercy of Magic Johnson. They may not see eye to eye with him on some decisions, but that’s okay.

Declaring his intent and vision with Brandon Ingram made one thing clear — nobody else is safe. Whether that means they’ll be trading the young core or simply exploring free agency better to acquire solid talent is uncertain.

Los Angeles will have to also, in the long run, trust that Brandon Ingram was the right choice before Johnson came to town. While having shown promise, there are still plenty of things for the former Duke star to improve on.

Size and strength taking top priority, but also his rebounding and shot selection.
