Zach Randolph

If the Clippers want to replace Blake Griffin with a veteran forward who could thrive in a starting role, they won’t have to look too much further than Zach Randolph. After being put in a different role with Memphis, Randolph is now a free agent and could use this chance to cash in.

In letting Griffin walk, the Clippers will have to know what’s too much or just right to offer the former Grizzlies star. Randolph could give the team the easiest time moving forward in terms of offensive flow.

The team is used to having big games from their power forward, but hope that a pick up of Randolph comes with less injury. Considering that both Griffin and Bass are free agents, while Brice Johnson likely wouldn’t get too much floor time under Doc Rivers, they’ll have to get a power forward no matter what.

Also, Randolph played for the Clippers during the 2008-09 campaign. Insisting to him that now is a better time to play in Los Angeles than before would be their best bet at landing the forward.

The only thing to wary of with him is the fact that he’s 35. They just went through another season where Griffin’s time with the team came short because of an unfortunate post-season injury.

Having health be a serious issue is not something they should want moving forward.
