Nerlens Noel

After not fitting in with Philadelphia, Nerlens Noel found himself in a Dallas Mavericks uniform last season. For the Clippers to get him makes a lot of sense, especially if you consider the fact that they may not have DeAndre Jordan much longer.

Blowing up what they have means really thinking about what to do with the remaining time and money on Jordan’s contract. His deal stands for another two seasons, but with Diamond Stone not getting much playing time, the bigger picture for the Clippers at center is depth and adjusting for the learning curve.

By signing Noel, Los Angles sets them up to have a strong backup to DeAndre Jordan while also giving an avenue for a young mentor to Stone.

Noel wouldn’t break the bank, either. Los Angeles will have to be sure any free agents that they get this off-season don’t come with the cataclysmic price tag.
