NBA Free Agency 2017: 15 free agent targets for the Clippers
By Keith Rivas
Joe Ingles
A pick up of Joe Ingles wouldn’t be surprising, but rather would be interesting to see how they can potentially make him a dangerous part of the offense.
Ingles most recently played for the Utah Jazz. He can hold his own from beyond the arc, while also giving the Clippers some potential size to use to their advantage.
He’s played three full seasons with the Jazz in his career, only missing four games during the regular season overall. If health is the biggest concern with Griffin, Ingles takes that concern away pretty quickly.
While maybe not as versatile as Griffin, there’s definitely enough in Ingles’ game to make it work. Depending on who’s running the point, as long as Ingles gets the ball, it’s a lock that he’ll make an immediate impact somehow.
If he leaves the Jazz, Utah will be left with a hard situation themselves. Should Los Angeles look to sign him, it’ll only have to come at the right price.
It’ll be on signings like this that the reasonable or not so reasonable nature of the front office will be revealed.
