4. Phoenix Suns

A similar case to his role with the Toronto Raptors, here we would see Jordan Clarkson giving a team much-needed depth off the bench. The Suns are doing just fine with their starting backcourt, which consists of Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker. However, behind this dynamic duo is a gap, a gap that could be filled by the likes of Jordan Clarkson.

The Suns look good at shooting guard, that is without question. Booker leads the way for the first team, with Brandon Knight and Leonard Barbosa both manning the bench. However, behind Eric Bledsoe, there is not much for Phoenix to be excited about.

Behind Bledsoe, the Suns have sophomore Tyler Ullis and veteran Ronnie Price. Price is set to be a free agent this offseason, leaving the only backup option to be Ullis. The five-foot-ten Ullis, who only averaged seven points last season, may not be ready for this role.

That is where Clarkson comes in, slotting right behind Bledsoe with the ability to give quality minutes at both point guard and shooting guard. Clarkson’s 14.7 points per game are far more promising as Ullis’ seven, giving the Suns a fantastic sixth man.

Clarkson fits the young narrative that the Suns have set forth, and could produce more for this Phoenix team. Phoenix could send the Lakers forward Jared Dudley, who has a similar contract, and a future draft pick for Clarkson. This seems like a win-win for both sides.
