We may only be two months into this ripe MLB season, but there is always room to look ahead. According to these Dodgers rumors, which upcoming free agents may spark some interest?

The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off of a fantastic month of May that saw them propel from third place in the National League West to first place. Sparked by the call-up of Cody Bellinger, this Dodgers team seemed to get the kick in their behinds that they so needed, which has led to the team statistically being perhaps the best in baseball.

First, the Dodgers easily have the best pitching staff in all of baseball. Los Angeles leads in ERA, WHIP, and has compiled the most wins above replacement, according to FanGraphs. As for position players, the Dodgers rank fourth in WAR, tenth in batting average and seventh in runs scored.

This mixture of the best pitching in baseball alongside one of the best hitting teams in baseball has led the Dodgers to own the fourth-best record in the NL. It is all close though, as if they did not end May and start June with a loss, they would have only trailed the Nationals and Astros for the best record in the MLB.

As promising as this season has been, there are still some needs the team can address in the offseason. This Dodgers team is World Series or bust, and if they bust, it may be time to go back to the drawing board. Therefore, here are way too early free agent targets the Dodgers may consider.
