He doesn’t need to leave Los Angeles to win a championship

Instead of being stuck in a rut, which is what Kevin Durant seemed to feel in OKC, Brandon Ingram is in a much better place. With a front office that seems determined to do everything to keep him around, there’s going to be little to no reason for him to ever want to leave the Lakers.

Los Angeles is one of the best places to market your skills, anyway. If you can handle the pressure and bright lights, it’ll pay off for you very well.

Also, Oklahoma City was at a point that the Clippers currently are this summer. Not being able to win a championship with the core that they have and coming off another disappointing and shocking exit.

It took blowing a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals for the Thunder to not knock off Golden State, but it happened.

If the Lakers were not serious about winning sooner rather than later, they’d clean house completely, including Ingram, when Magic Johnson came to power.

The Lakers are the second most successful franchise in terms of championships won. Boston is the only team with more rings and the difference between the two is only one championship.
