SF. Brandon Ingram

Predicted Stats: 14.2 PPG, 2.5 APG, 4.7 RPG

Brandon Ingram is an interesting case for the Los Angeles Lakers. Heading into his rookie campaign, many expected Ingram to be the next best thing, selected at second overall, his ceiling was massive. However, once he reached the NBA level, he seemed a tad too weak for his position. Ingram often struggled to find his coveted scoring, deciding to camp in the corner like a stretch four.

However, Ingram’s second year in the league will likely be completely different. With a better expectation of the physicality of the NBA, Ingram will be able to better prepare himself. We already discussed how one day he may even surpass Kevin Durant in terms of talent, although really far-fetched, is quite possible.

In Ingram’s last ten games played last season, he managed to average 13.9 points per game. As he got more playing time, and better adjusted to the NBA style of play, it was evident that he was coming into his own. Heck, he even dropped over 20 points against the Spurs and Clippers, which is a very promising sign.

Overall, I think we will see the biggest improvement in terms of scoring from Ingram. Only averaging 9.4 points last season, do not be surprised to see Ingram jump up nearly five points per game, leaving him around 14. His rebounding and passing will remain the same with him coming into his own in the scoring department.
