PF. Julius Randle

Predicted Stats: 14.0 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 2.8 APG

I am a big fan of Julius Randle. Playing alongside guys like Ingram and Russell has shifted the spotlight from Randle, he is often regarded as the third spoke on this rebuilding Lakers wheel. However, Randle has arguably been the best of the three despite missing his entire rookie season with an injury. Randle is a double-double machine, and we will see him average double-double numbers.

In his first full season in the league, Randle managed to average these ridiculous numbers, putting his name on the map as one of the best young power forwards in the league. With 11.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, Randle managed to not only average a double-double but ranked 15th in the entire league in total double-double’s that season with 34.

Last year Randle did not quite repeat the same magic. His scoring took a good bump, up to 13.2 points per game, but his rebounding shrank to 8.6 rebounds per game. This could be due to the increased exposure to starting squads opposed to second team units, or better yet, better rebounding from the center position.

Next season I think we will see Randle return to that double-double form, but just narrowly. With Lonzo Ball in the mix we will see his scoring improve a tad, but nothing huge. The biggest jump would be in the rebounding department, where we see Randle narrowly hit double digits with 10.0 rebounds per game.
