In Angels news, an all-time baseball great and Angels great has reached the 600 milestone on hitting home runs.

This great has been the league for awhile and has won a World Series with his former team the Cardinals. He is now trying to win a World Series with his current team, the Angels.

This legend is known for hitting homers out of the park. Also, he probably has one of the best nicknames in all of baseball. His nickname is The Machine!

Albert Pujols has hit his 600th home run of his career on Saturday night against the Minnesota Twins. At times when the Angels seem to be going downhill players step up at the right time.

I am not saying the Angles are doing horrible right now. It is just in the past there has been a distinct pattern. This pattern includes them losing multiple games closely or being down a numerous amount of runs. Then a star player hits a major home run to lift the teams morale up and lead them to victory in that game.

For example, Saturday nigh Albert Pujols was the player in the clubhouse to lift their spirits up. He did by hitting his 600th home run of his career. The Angels started out losing and ended demolishing their opponent.

In the beginning they were losing one run to nothing. Then in the third inning is where they started scoring all their runs for the game. They ended by defeating the Twins by five runs. Mike Trout is a player who usually rallies the team to victory, if not Pujols.

By Pujols hitting the 600th home run of his career, he has become the fourth youngest player to reach that milestone. Pujols accomplished this feat while hitting a grand slam.

Next: Blake Griffin for No. 1 Pick?

Lastly, now all that needs to happen is for the Angels to stay healthy and make the post-season.
