Paul George

Paul George seemingly is already a Los Angeles Laker and he still has another season to play with the Indiana Pacers. No man has been tied to the Lakers as heavily as George, and quite frankly, he seems destined to end up in purple and gold. The Lakers would be unwise to trade for him, as they can wait a year and get him for free, meaning this super team would be two years in the making.

While George is not the biggest star in the NBA he certainly is a star and that is exactly what the Lakers need. All of their young talents will eventually develop into great talents, giving Paul George a great supporting cast to pursue his dream of winning a championship. George would serve as the perfect leader, he is experienced but he is not too old.

George would obviously be the number one scoring option for the Lakers, likely dropping around 25 points a game. Right now he is averaging just under at 23.7, but as he gets better and surrounds himself with young, hungry talent he will only thrive. Los Angeles is the perfect market for George, and he can become one of the faces of the NBA.

Quite frankly the Lakers need to land George. There has been far too much speculation, Lakers rumors, and anticipation that anything short of George at this point would be a disappointment. If the Lakers can free up Timofey Mozgov and Luol Deng they can easily afford the contract that Paul George wants, alongside bringing in another star as well.
