The latest Lakers rumors are buzzing about a potential future date with LeBron James.

There’s no question that LeBron James is one of the best players to ever play basketball. Showing that it’s more than a game at times, he’s taken the league to knew heights, all while proving his individual dominance.

After he left the Cavaliers for the Heat several summers ago, a homecoming didn’t seem possible.

But then it happened.

Following a few championship runs with Miami, James did what he had to in order to have peace with his hometown team. Fans and front office alike had to get used to the idea that LeBron James was too big to turn down in a situation like that.

One of his biggest promises in his career was to bring Cleveland a title. In dramatic fashion, James did just that last season. It took overcoming a deficit that hadn’t been overcome before against a team that won a record number of games in the regular season.

Now there’s rumors he could be headed to Los Angeles to play for either the Lakers or the Clippers. While he’d probably love the spotlight and already has a home in LA, here’s a couple of reasons for the Lakers to steer clear of the king.
