NBA prospect Josh Jackson is once again the hot topic of current Lakers rumors.

These Lakers rumors include him also being closer to playing with the team. LA seems to be indecisive on who they are drafting. Or they don’t want anyone to really know their vision in the draft for know.

They are doing their best to keep quiet on their draft vision. Also, Josh Jackson has people in the Lakers organization who are strong believers in him.

Jackson is another versatile player in the draft. He is a natural small forward, yet can play shooting guard which helps the team.

Also, it helps the team in the fact they would be closer to a complete roster and they wouldn’t have to worry about finding places for certain positions. They could even be able to draft a point guard along with Jackson.

There is so much talent in this draft class. They are bound to find an athlete.

The Lakers with their two picks would be able to complete their roster without having to a acquire a superstar or All-Star athlete teammate. LA could build their own superstar team with players on the team and from the draft.

They wouldn’t need a veteran player although the Warriors grabbed a few veterans to play off the bench.

For now, LA would be fine with their starting five and acquiring a veteran player later. Here is what their lineup/depth chart would look like if they keep everyone and acquire players through the draft:

PG: Tyler Ennis, (Draft Prospect – 28th pick)
SG: D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson
SF: Brandon Ingram, Josh Jackson
PF: Julius Randle, Larry Nance Jr.
C: Timofey Mozgov, Tarik Black, Ivica Zubac.

On paper this seems interesting, but nothing like talent to prove everyone wrong. Seeing this in games would be fun to watch.

Additionally, Jackson could play shooting guard if an All-Star small forward does come to LA. Even if a star doesn’t come to LA, he can play either the 2 or 3 spot.

If LA doesn’t draft a point guard, Ennis would be the point guard for sure with either Clarkson or Russell behind him. The one not playing point would be the starting shooting guard, being backed up by Jackson.

Then they could draft a second small forward if they don’t receive an All-Star. That is how drafting Josh Jackson to the Lakers and another small forward or guard would help to complete the Lakers roster.

Jackson is closer to landing in LA after his workout and supporters who believe in him. Additionally, LA has the chance to draft two great prospects in the first round.
