2018-19 Season:

Lebron James would be joining a very young team on the Los Angeles Lakers, but a team with some promise. The starting five for the King’s arrival is as followed: Lonzo Ball (PG), D’Angelo Russell (SG), Lebron James (SF), Larry Nance Jr. (PF), and Ivica Zubac (C).

There are two notable things in this starting five. First, Lonzo Ball is the starting point guard, with D’Angelo Russell moving to shooting guard. We drafted Lonzo Ball, as we think that he is the best bet to head to the Lakers in the draft, to try to be as realistic as possible. As for the absence of Julius Randle, well, in the simulation he opted to test free agency, signing with the Mavericks.

As for the Lakers regular season, well it was not a typical dominating regular season that James is accustomed to. The Lakers missed out on the playoffs, finishing ninth in the Western Conference with a 39-43 record.

As for James, well he didn’t even get included in an All-NBA team. Despite still being a 97 overall, James posted the lowest scoring since his rookie year; averaging 21.1 points per game. Alongside 21.1 points per game James added in 7.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists, so he was good, but not great.

So, as you can see, the first year for Lebron in Los Angeles may not be successful. However, we know the kind of team building and leader James is, so it could still turn around.
