The Los Angeles Dodgers, despite having a fantastic season, currently do not have any players slated to start in the 2017 MLB All-Star Game.

The Dodgers are doing great this year, and as a Dodger fan myself, that is all I can really ask for. The team is currently 14 games over .500 and trails the Colorado Rockies by 2.5 games for National League West supremacy.

However, a side note to an otherwise great season has been the Dodgers results in the All-Star voting. A week ago the MLB released the second ballot update, and we dissected it, pushing for fans to continue to vote for Corey Seager, Justin Turner, Yasmani Grandal, and Yasiel Puig.

Heck, fans should even be writing in Cody Bellinger to make the All-Star game in his first ever season. While he is not on the ballot, Bellinger ranks tenth in the MLB in home runs, despite missing an entire month of the season. Bellinger deserves everyone’s write in vote.

Now, the MLB again released the third ballot update for the National League voting, and it is safe to say that Dodger fans need to get voting more and get our boys into the game.

Our lone starter in the last update, Corey Seager, is no longer starting at shortstop. Zack Cozart jumped from being 60,000 votes behind Seager last week to nearly having 200,000 more votes. Cozart is just shy of a million votes, standing in at 997,996.

More from Los Angeles Dodgers

While it does suck to see Seager fall into second place if anyone deserves to beat him it would be Cozart. The Reds’ shortstop is batting .329, slugging 9 home runs and tallying 33 RBIs. Despite his great efforts though, we need to show Seager some love and support after his weekend heroics against, ironically, the Reds.

The rest of the Dodgers stayed static in the voting. Yasmani Grandal is still sitting in at fifth, however, according to FanGraphs he is second in WAR for all catchers, so us the fans should vote him up to the backup spot.

Justin Turner still sits in at third, but this is likely to do with his time off due to injury. Turner is batting an outstanding .383 this season, which would be the best in baseball if he had the qualified amount of at-bats.

Yasiel Puig moved up to the fourteenth spot, however, it may be unlikely that he can catch the top three vote getters. However, writing in Cody Bellinger has picked up some steam around the league, so fans must continue to do so to see him break through the surface.
