2. SS Corey Seager (2012, Pick 18)

Career Stats with Los Angeles: 246 games, .304 AVG, 39 HR, 120 RBIs

While he may only have a season and a half worth of games, Seager is easily the second best first round pick the Dodgers have taken this century. There have been so many promising, so many hopeful first rounds selections since 2000. Corey Seager delivered on all of this promise and proves to be the future of this franchise.

Alongside a hot hitting Cody Bellinger, Seager looks to be the focal point that the Dodgers are going to build around in the next several years. Seager has already lived up to potential, taking home the National League Rookie of the Year and finishing third in MVP voting in only his first season.

At only 23 years of age, the ceiling is immensely high for Seager. Seager has not even gotten close to his prime yet, and it would not be a bold prediction to say that Seager may take home MVP honors before his career is all said and done. In just a few years we may see Seager around the .350 mark in terms of batting average, with the potential to be a 30 home run, 100 RBI guy.

Seager has been highly touted since he was drafted, as he was the number one prospect in all of baseball before his rookie campaign last season. Only three years into his minor league career Seager was already a top ten prospect, seeming to be an even better version of his brother, Kyle Seager.

We will see Corey Seager continue to light up Chavez Ravine for a long time. He will be the face of the franchise in the coming years, however, he has to compete with a historically great player.
