T.J. Yeldon (JAX)

2016 Stats:

CAR: 130
RUSH YDS: 465
REC: 50
REC YDS: 312
TD: 2

2017 Outlook: Yeldon was given the chance to be the starter his rookie year after Jacksonville drafted him with the fourth pick of the second round. After getting about 1,000 yards from scrimmage, the team decided to bring in Chris Ivory the next season. As expected, his production went down and Ivory failed to impress.

The result of this committee was the Jaguars taking Leonard Fournette with the fourth overall pick of the 2017 draft. Fournette is supposed to be a generational talent with his athleticism and his high draft price reflects this sentiment. With such a high investment in the young back, it is safe to assume he will be the centerpiece of their offense.

With Fournette projected to be the bell-cow, it is most likely that Yeldon will be a third down back for passing downs. This gives him a very low ceiling for the 2017 season and barring a major injury to Fournette, his workload won’t be very large this season.
