Ameer Abdullah (DET)

2016 Stats:

CAR: 18
RUSH YDS: 101
REC: 5
REC YDS: 57
TD: 1

2017 Outlook: Honestly, there isn’t much great film on Ameer Abdullah. Additionally, after having a disappointing rookie campaign, Abdullah followed it up with and explosive first week in 2016 that preceded a season-ending injury. He may, however, be one of the few bell-cows in the league in 2017.

Though he struggled his first year, his one performance against Indianapolis last year showed his potential as a player- running for 63 yards and receiving for 57 more and a touchdown. Before going down in week two, he was averaging 6.3 yards per carry against Tennessee. His potential was definitely on display.

After spending most of their picks on defense, it is possible that the Lions may not be playing from behind so much this season and the rushing totals will be higher.
