4. Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets have already shown they don’t mind signing ridiculous contracts, signing Nicolas Batum to a five-year, $120 million deal. While obviously, Young would not get that kind of money because of the cap, and well, he doesn’t deserve it. However, the Hornets may float Nick Young an offer that he cannot resist.

Last season Batum was the primary shooting guard, with veteran Marco Belinelli being the Hornets primary option off of the bench. Over at small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist ate the bulk of the minutes, with Treveon Graham listed as the primary backup. However, the rookie only averaged seven minutes per game, so it is evident that the Hornets are thin at small forward.

That is where Nick Young comes in. Young, alongside Kidd-Gilchrist, would give the Hornets a great one-two punch at small forward and would add so much depth to this team. Young, acting as the scorer, could come off of the bench as a sixth man, being the primary leader of the second unit.

Kidd-Gilchrist would then start, offering as the better defensive option and the better rebounder. Although Nick Young has seen more time at shooting guard, he can play small forward and would be a great scoring option, eating a lot of minutes off the bench for the Charlotte Hornets.
